More in the Bedroom or in the Living Room?

by Shannon 27. October 2009 19:25

Plans are underway on the 619 sq. ft. floorplan to be built in the future Fulton Village apartment project and we'd like to know what you prefer, more living space (with one bedroom) or more sleeping space (with two bedrooms)?  Your feedback will help us decide whether to build more two bedroom units versus one bedroom units.  It's important to hear from you soon, so let us know how you want to situate your digs.

Check out the floorplans below and send us your comments.

While it would be nice to have two bedrooms...I would rather have the extra living space of a one bedroom.

Either floorplan appears to be a great use of space.  My only comment with regard to the two bedroom is the size of the bedrooms are likely too small to really accomodate appropriate bedroom furniture.  I would prefer with this small square footage that only a one bedroom be applied and enlarge the living square footage areas.  What is the dimensions of the bedrooms in the two bedroom option?

The dimensions of the two bedrooms are approximately 10' x 10'

I like the two bedroom layout! That is a great floorplan. I like the open feel of the kitchen to the great room with the sitting bar. Lots of options for entertaining which is always a bonus!

With 619 square feet of living space, I would prefer one bedroom with more living space.  I assume the prices will be reasonable, giving people the ability to live on their own and not need roommates.  Also, in an urban environment, it would be nice to have a spacious living room to be able to entertain people and have dinner parties before going out to the town.

I personally like the two bedroom. I could use the second bedroom as an office space. I lived in a one bedroom before and even though it has more living space it feels more crowded. Specially when you want to add a desk to work on, you either have to put in the living room or the dining room.

I like the 1 bedroom option with the larger living space! When can I sign up?

I like the two bedroom plan best.  I think it could some more living space but they look like nice units.  If I were to live downtown I would definitely like to have a roommate!

The closet looks really small in the one bedroom and the living room seems a little small in the two bedroom. Can a larger closet be in the one bedroom?

At 619 sq.ft. I definitely believe that the one-bedroom option with bigger living space is more suitable for the urban lifestyle I would be looking for.  I also think that a courtyard is a great idea, to display different local art work.

Although the two-bedroom would be ideal for roomates, how big would the rooms be?? I would like to see a bigger living space with a small office (maybe divide the second bedroom in half, so there would be bigger living space and an office) for us college students and for some of those who work downtown. If I had to choose then it would be the one-bedroom. Great concept, can't wait to see the units!

I love the 2 bedroom plan, this way you have the option to have a guest stay over or a roommate.  I also love the doggy stations and the swipe card laundry facilities this shows that the builder is very innovative.

Both concepts are great and I think would appeal to different people.  Persoanlly, I would prefer the one bedroom.  The larger living area would be more suitable for hosting and entertaining.

I think both options should be included. The one bedroom for those that want a little bit more living space, and the two bedroom option for those that want to save a bit of money and have a roommate.

If I had to choose though I would say the two bedroom is better because it gives more options for an office, etc.
